Easy Oven Sausages

 

If you don't have a barbecue, you can still make the easiest, tastiest sausages you've ever had! Making sausages in the oven will take you approximately 1/2 hour, afterwhich you can slice them for incorporating into other meals, stir frys or pasta dishes... or enjoy just like that!


Method:

  • Preheat oven to 425° F

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper so it's slightly over the edges

  • Place your raw sausages on top, ensuring they do not touch each other

  • When the oven has reached the temperature, place in middle-low oven rack and bake for 10 minutes.

  • After these 10 minutes, turn over and bake for another 10 minutes.

  • After this, turn again and bake for 5 more minutes

  • And once more, turn sausages over and bake another 5 minutes

  • After this baking and turning stage (total 30 minutes), your sausages will be golden toasted and cooked through! If unsure, slice a sausage in half - you shouldn't see any pink and they will be piping hot.

This method is great for cooking recipes for one – or ten! Cooked sausages will freeze well; simply allow sausages to cool in the refrigerator and then wrap them well in parchment paper (individually so they don't get frost bite), then place inside a zippy bag for freezer storage.
