Banana Oatmeal Energy Squares
- no flour required!

Another Raising Kids Naturally favourite recipe that you can have as an energy bar after a workout, snack, or even for breakfast 'cause it's so healthy!

You can omit any of the seeds you don't like, use peanut-free butter, or any other nut butter you prefer.

Ingredients:

 • 4 ripe bananas

 • 1 cup natural peanut butter

 • 1/4 cup honey

 • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

 • 1 teaspoon vanilla

 • 2 cups oatmeal

 • 1 cup of nuts or seeds - your choice (pumpkin and sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, hemp, chia, etc.)

 

Here's how:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F

  • Mash the bananas and add peanut butter, honey, cinnamon and vanilla until smooth and well blended.

  • Add oats and nuts/seeds and mix until combined.

  • Line an 8”x 8” baking pan with parchment paper and pour in mixture.

  • Lick the spoon!!

  • Press and flatten with a spatula until even.

  • Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown on edges.

  • Allow to cool and cut into bars or squares


  • Eat and share!! Store the balance at room temperature for a week or freeze for up to

  • 4 months.
