How to make the BEST,

pan-fried crispy fish.

At Silver and Gold Magazine, we believe fish should be consumed at least twice per week. this is because fish is an important source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential nutrients for your heart and brain health.

Since our bodies do not naturally produce Omega-3 fatty acids, we must get them from the foods we eat... Plus fish is so good, especially when cooked correctly!

Now, you may think that this recipe is not good because you have been tainted by the fact that it's pan-fried, but when it comes to good healthy eating, good fats come into play here! Some of the best fats to cook with – those which will provide nutrition – include coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, and grapeseed oil.

This pan-fried crispy fish is so delicious it will have you coming back for more!

Enjoy it in smaller pieces as part of a fish taco, or in larger pieces as a meal. It even keeps well in the refrigerator for eating the next-day!

How to make this fish dish:

To make the best-fried fish, meaning, a very tasty and flavoured fish that will also be crispy and not soggy, you need to have 3 bowls as follows:

The first bowl will have a flavoured flour – with all-purpose flour, seasoned with a teaspoon of paprika, mustard powder, salt and pepper.

The second bowl will have eggs that have a bit of water or milk added to them and scrambled together.

The third bowl will have your breadcrumbs, again flavoured with just salt and pepper to taste. Keep a rind of lemon or lime handy for adding to the almost-ready, pan-fried fish!

Once your fish has been floured, egged, and breaded, set it aside as you prepare the other pieces.

You will notice that it will become firmer to the touch even when it's raw – and this is a good t thing! It will crisp up even more when cooked.
